A walk in the park

Bufflehead, hooded merganser, coots, red-wing blackbird, great blue heron, red tailed hawk. All fancy pants birds. All delightful to see. But the show stopper that day was a single, silly Canada goose. All the geese were quietly paddling about on Rice's pond. Except the singular goose who was repeatedly doing backwards somersaults. Throwing himself backwards, under the water and up again. Repeat. Again. And again. No camera. No cell phone to capture the antics. But what a treat it was to experience. I am so thankful for walks in the park with my true love that take me to unexpected things in the midst of the ordinary.
